Yankee Hill Wildlife Area near Denton, NE. Remus and Suede each picked up a Senior Hunter qualify at the hunt tests in Nebraska. Remus was handled by Aaron and Suede was handled by Mel. Trip, handled by Aaron, at just 8 months of age, earned the first two legs of her Junior Hunter title.

Kosmo ran in the Master Hunter test, but did not qualify. Not for lack of Kosmo’s effort, on Saturday he went birdless (along with the majority of the Senior and Master Hunter level dogs). This is rare for Kosmo, but I guess it happens to the best of us on occasion. On Sunday, Kosmo had FIVE finds and one stop to flush. He handled all his birds with perfection, despite the gunners being less than perfect (0 for 4). Needless to say Kosmo was very frustrated. He got a callback and broke on the honor after the pointing dog broke at the shot. A tough day for our fierce little hunting machine. Oh well, we know what we need to work on at least. Still, we were very proud of him!
